Missed Appointments

When you book an appointment with BodyTrippin’ Massage Chicago, that time is set aside for you, and only you.  Your appointment will never be double booked, and I will be ready for your session to begin when you arrive. In return, it is requested that you keep your promise to show up for your appointment on time.  Please understand that massage therapists only get paid when they deliver a service... therefore missed appointments are costly and prevent us from catering to other clients.  The total amount of the services scheduled or the total value or any promotions will be charged in full for clients who "no-show" or fail to cancel their reservation within a 24-hour time period.

Emergencies Happen, so...

In the event of an authentic emergency, a same-day change/cancellation fee may apply of up to $25, especially if your appointment cannot be filled by another client willing to take your slot.  As a business owner, I have costs of living too.  Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Cancellations

In the event that you unable to keep your scheduled appointment with us, please contact us by phone at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.  If you do not reach us, please leave a message on our voicemail system.  If we do not hear from you within this time period, and you do not keep your appointment, the above policy will be applied.  Note: We recognize that no one is perfect and there are circumstances beyond your control (sudden illness, family emergenies, alien abductions, etc).  Your therapist may make an exception to the above policies on those rare occasions.

Forfeiture of the "New Client" Rate/Promotional Rates

If an appointment is booked under a "NEW CLIENT" special rate or any other promotional rate that is not the usual session price and you fail to show up for your appointment without the 24-hour prior notification as outlined above, you cannot book a future appointment under the "new client" rate or promotional rate, and that rate is forfeited.  In addition, you will also need to secure a future appointment on the online booker with a valid credit card.  Yes, this sounds kind of lame, but to further explain why this is necessary, see "Missed Appointments" above.

Mobile Massage Therapy Bookings

If you are a new client and are requesting a mobile massage therapy appointment, you will need to guarantee your session with a valid credit card. This policy is in place to ensure our safety, and is a requirement for booking a mobile massage therapy session.

Massage Therapist Intitiated Cancellations

Although I could sometimes conside myself a diva, no one is perfect all of the time.  If your appointment is cancelled or postponed by the massage therapist within the 24-hour time period, your re-scheduled massage session will be discounted 10%, excluding the new client rate.  In other words, if I have to cancel for a relatively lame reason close to your appointment time, your next usually $74 one-hour massage will cost you $67.

PRIVACY POLICY & RESPECTIING YOUR ONLINE PRIVACY:  The privacy of your personal information is important to me. I am committed to collecting, using and disclosing personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for the goods and services I provide. This document describes my privacy policies.

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Personal information includes information that relates to:

  • an individual’s personal characteristics (e.g., gender, age, income, home address or telephone number, ethnic background, family status);
  • health (e.g., health history, health conditions, health services received by them);
  • activities and views (e.g., opinions expressed by an individual, an opinion or evaluation of an individual).

Personal information is different from business information (e.g., an individual’s business address and telephone number). This is not protected by privacy legislation.

WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION: PRIMARY PURPOSES

Like all health and wellness professions, we collect, use and disclose personal information in order to serve our clients. For our clients, the primary purpose for collecting personal information is to provide treatment. For example, we collect information about a client's health history, including their family history, physical condition, function and social situation in order to help us assess what their health needs are, to advise them of their options and then to provide the health care they choose to have. A second primary purpose is to obtain a baseline of health and social information so that in providing on going health services we can identify changes that occur over time.

PROTECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION

I understand the importance of protecting personal information. For that reason, I have taken the following steps:

  • Paper information is either under supervision or secured in restricted area.
  • Electronic hardware is either under supervision or secure in a restricted area at all times. Paper information is transmitted through sealed, addressed envelopes or boxes by reputable companies.
  • Electronic information is transmitted either through a direct line or has identifiers removed or is encrypted.
